Ole Miss Hosts Black Alumni Reunion

This weekend Ole Miss hosted the first Black Alumni Weekend since 2018. The University hosted many events that allowed alumni to reconnect with their old classmates.

“But I actually met my husband here in 2001 and we have just had a great relationship and built a life with three children since then '' Ole Miss Alumni, Alma Jackson Flowers said.

It was more than just a time to relive memories. Ole Miss gave black students and alums the chance to meet with various other Ole Miss graduates to network.

“You know sometimes when you graduate you do a career change and you meet different people. Last night I met a pathologist, I met an attorney who had been an attorney for 35 years,”  Skylar Character said. “I got the chance to talk to them and then I met someone who was a rebelette, so I got the chance to meet people to gather encouragement and hear about their stories here at Ole Miss”.

The exciting weekend wrapped up with a Sunday brunch at The Inn at Ole Miss, where Alumni got to come back together for one last time.
