This week, Get Involved UM is hosting its annual Involvement week. They will be hosting fun-filled events giving students a chance to learn about different ways to get involved on campus.

“We have been doing engagement weeks at different capacities, but this is our first week we are going to be doing a big corn hole tournament so it should be really fun. It’s kind of on a bigger scale this time,” Involvement Coordinator, Kelly Li said.

On Monday students got the chance to jump into engagement week with a bouncy house.

“Later this week, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday we are going to be doing involvement fairs. If the weather permits we will be out here tabling with different organizations on campus to kind of tell students about different ways to get involved,”  Li said.

On Thursday they will be doing t-shirt giveaways from different organizations on campus and then Friday they will be hosting mini-golf and hot dogs on the student union plaza.

Kelly Li says her involvement on campus has shaped her into the person she is today and that her leadership positions helped her break out of her shell.

“We want students to dive right in at the beginning of the year but at the same time a lot of students don't have that opportunity, so now that we are back from break a lot of students are still looking for ways to get involved in organizations and we are here to remind them we are still here to help them find their next home,” Li said.

Be sure to check out all the involvement week has to offer students this week on the Union Plaza.
