PeriodUM, is a new non-profit organization movement working towards putting a stop to period poverty. They do so by supplying menstrual products in the restrooms on campus along with education and advocacy on menstrual cycles.

“We’re just focused on destigmatizing conversations around period poverty and conducting service opportunities to combat poverty within our community and then also educating people on what periods are and just designating the whole thing,” says President and Founder Maggie Walker.

With over 160 members, the organization opens up to everyone on campus when they have meetings about service, education, and de-stigmatizing periods.

“Our main goals are service education and advocacy,” says Maggie.
